FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: process comprises identification of idle time and combinations of such attributes as pressure drop, motor oil level drop and its further increase to standard. Besides, this allows for registration of the code of transition to diagnostics mode in vehicle or machine onboard computer network. Idle time is registered by the absence of tachometer and speedometer signals while preset coordinates of maintenance shops and preset standards of maintenance duration and working hours to maintenance are used. Data on working hours from last maintenance, time of start and duration of maintenance and idle time date are transmitted to control station.

EFFECT: efficient control over maintenance periodicity, longer life of vehicles, lower operating costs.
