In the method, during the operation of vehicles, their functioning is periodically automatically evaluated according to the signals of standard structural elements or according to the coordinates of the vehicle location, or according to the information from the databases, they are recorded taking into account the date of setting up for maintenance or repair, the total operating time of the vehicle at the time of setting is calculated, operating time between successive sets, control is carried out by means of a service company or on-board local network of a vehicle, sequentially assign numbers to statements for repair or maintenance from the beginning of operation, after each setting at least ten immediately preceding successive operating times between statements for repair or maintenance are selected, and the predicted residual life until the next setting is calculated automatically by means of statistical processing using point statistic estimates of the density of distribution of the selected latest developments or using interval estimates, including the gamma-percentage operating time before the upcoming setting for repair or maintenance.

EFFECT: provision of automatic generation of serviceability markers and comprehensive assessments of vehicle reliability.
