PRODUCTION OF CHITIN-MINERAL COMPLEX FROM CORSET-BEARING WASTES OF GAMMARUS Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A23L1/33 

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises processing of corset-containing wastes of Gammarus by ethanol solution and on exposure of ultrasound with extraction of carotinoid-lipidic complex. Precipitate is subjected to self-enzymatic deproteinisation in water medium with addition of papainase to extract protein hydrolyzate. Precipitate is inhibited by hydrogen peroxide, deproteinised and defatted by sodium carbonate solution on exposure to ultrasound. Obtained chitin-mineral complex is demineralised solution of hydrochloric acid at microwave heating, deacylased by sodium carbonate solution at microwave heating, flushed in water to discoloration, squeezed at centrifuge and dried in airflow.
