SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the system and method of reduction of internal combustion engine exhaust toxicity. The exhaust (2) toxicity reduction system (1) of internal combustion engine (3) with the outlet pipeline (4), where the element (5) for exhaust toxicity reduction is located, which has the first end side (6) and the second end side (7) and is flow-through for exhaust (2) from the first end side (6) to the second end side (7) and at passing of exhaust flow through which the equalization of exhaust flow along the cross section of the outlet pipeline (4) is achieved, being continued along the short sections downstream the element (5) for exhaust toxicity reduction as a section (12) with laminar exhaust flow. Downstream the element (5) for exhaust toxicity reduction the supply unit (8) is provisioned, which is intended for adding of reactant (9) into the exhaust flow (2) and located within this section (12) with laminar exhaust flow at the maximum distance (10) 30 mm, first of all maximum 20 mm, from the second end side (7) of the element (5) for exhaust toxicity reduction, to the second end side (7) of which 90% of the added reactant (9) are supplied.

EFFECT: ensuring of more uniform distribution of the reactant into the exhaust flow, due to that the evaporation of reactant is improved.
