FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for rowing sapphire monocrystals, which can be used as substrates for obtaining light-emitting diodes. Device 1 contains crucible 20 with raw material, located in cylindrical heater 14, located in furnace 10 for growing, heat shield 16, enveloping heater 14 and having multiple cylindrical sections 16a, 16b, 16c, which are placed vertically one above the other, with heat shield additionally containing framework section 17 for determination of radial positions of cylindrical sections located one above the other and supporting weight of all or part of cylindrical sections in vertical direction.
EFFECT: invention provides increased accuracy of position of heat shield, which influences distribution of temperatures in furnace 10 for growing, and therefore crystal quality.
