FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to techniques for producing a preparation for treating a harvest in order to protect said harvest from physiological and viral diseases. The invention relates to techniques for producing preparations based on 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP), having properties which block the effect of "aging gas" - ethylene - on ripening receptors. The method of producing a preparation with high content of 1-MCP for treating fruit and vegetables is based on sorption of liquid or gaseous 1-MCP by "nano-sponges" synthesised from N,N-carbonyldiimidazole and β-cyclodextrin in ratio of 1:2, 1:4, 1:6 and 1:8. Sorption of 1-MCP is carried out at (-20)-(5)°C for 2-8 hours.
EFFECT: method provides complete sorption of 1-MCP, which prolongs the shelf life and improves the quality of fruits and vegetables.
