SUBSTANCE: invention represents a diagnostic technique for high differentiated thyroid carcinoma consisting in ultrasound-controlled fine-needle biopsy of thyroid nodules, differing by the fact that a puncture needle with an aspirate is washed twice in normal saline 1 ml, centrifuged; a supernatant is selected, and an enzyme immunoassay is used to measure galectin-3; if the galectin-3 content is less than 1.0 ng/ml, high differentiated thyroid carcinoma is not diagnosed; the range of 1.0-1.6 ng/ml shows a risk of high differentiated thyroid carcinoma, whereas the value exceeding 1.6 ng/ml enables diagnosing high differentiated thyroid carcinoma.
EFFECT: improving the diagnostic quality of high differentiated thyroid carcinoma.
