FIELD: atomic physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering, particularly to the design of fuel assemblies of pressurised water reactors. Elements which provide dismountability have a cross-sectional dimension greater than the size of openings in the bearing plate of the tailpiece. Said elements allow reduction of the cross-section thereof in order to pass through the openings in the bearing plate of the tailpiece and are mounted in guide channels.
EFFECT: designing a device without detachable components, which enables to fix tailpieces simultaneously on all guide channels, avoid welded joints, which simplifies and speeds up the process of making fuel assemblies and reduces the down time of a nuclear reactor when repairing fuel assemblies when reloading nuclear fuel; the fuel assembly comprises a bundle of fuel rods, guide channels, two tailpieces, one of which has a bearing plate with openings, elements which provide dismountability of connecting tailpieces with guide channels, an arresting device for detachable connection and means of mounting the arresting device.
