SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering. Engine 100 comprises cylinder block 200 with expansion cylinder 6 incorporating expansion piston 7. The latter can shifts crankshaft assy 20 between TDC and BDC to drive expansion piston to preset position corresponding to preset crankshaft angle. Compression cylinder 2 incorporates compression piston 1 to displace between CTDC and CBDC in compliance with preset angular shift with lag relative to expansion piston 7. Cylinder head 30 closes the cylinders and comprises bypass channel 5 with opening 5a in contact communication with compression cylinder 2 and opening 5b with bypass valve 4 to expansion cylinder 6, inlet valve 3 and discharge valve 9. It comprises drive of bypass valve 6 and drive to actuate valve 9 at preset moments of piston carrying cycle and fuel injector 8 in bypass channel 5. Bypass valve 4 opens with 20° or larger advance of crankshaft angle ETDC so that, up to ETDC, pressure between cylinders features notable levelling. It makes fluid transfer between ETDC and CTDC to sustain combustion between two cylinders. Note here that injector 8 inject fuel 8a at reaching said ETDC.
EFFECT: decreased toxicity of exhaust gases, higher efficiency of engine.
