FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: set of inventions can be used in aircraft and aerospace engineering, motor production, construction and medicine. To obtain metal foam vibration exciters are brought in contact with fused metal in crucible. Said exciter is connected with generator of longitudinal waves to be input in preset area of the melt. Simultaneously with formation of bubbles their size is controlled by oscillations caused by said longitudinal waves via separation of bubbles from bubble-forming means when required size is reached.

EFFECT: ruled out uncontrolled decreased in bubble size after its formation.
