FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: method of amplifying and demodulating frequency-modulated signals is based on using an apparatus consisting of a forward transmission circuit in the form of a three-terminal nonlinear element, a four-terminal element, an external feedback circuit, a low-pass filter, a separating capacitor and a low-frequency load, meeting conditions for matching the forward transmission circuit with the external feedback circuit, conditions for matching the external feedback circuit with the control electrode of the three-terminal nonlinear element, converting the frequency-modulated signal into an amplitude-frequency-modulated signal on the left-side slop of the amplitude-frequency curve, splitting the spectrum of the amplitude-frequency-modulated signal into low-frequency and high-frequency components using the three-terminal nonlinear element, selecting the low-frequency component using the low-pass filter, wherein the four-terminal element is resistive, and its parameter values are selected according to given mathematical expressions.
EFFECT: longer linear section of the frequency demodulation curve and wider dynamic range.
