FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device contains header-beam with top and bottom stiffening belts, and double vertical walls, between them in top part of the header-beam along the vertical walls main gas channels with variable cross-section with confusors are created, the confusors are arranged along the longitudinal axis of the header-beam above the anodes, by one end secured at input to fairing, and by another end with holes in bottom stiffening belt, height of main gas channels increases towards end of the header-beam connected with the gas cleaning system. Between the top and bottom stiffening belts symmetrically to the longitudinal axis of the header-beam two additional gas channels with variable cross-section are arranged connected with bottom stiffening belt by means of the confusers equipped with shutters and located along the longitudinal axis above the anodes between the confusers of the main gas channel, at that from the face side each main gas channel has confuser installed in metal intake zone. The confuser shutters of the additional gas channels are connected with sensors of switching on/off of the additional gas channel, at that all confusers are installed with slope relatively to the vertical axis of the electrolyser.

EFFECT: uniform gas removal and increased efficiency due to local gases removal during anodes replacement.
