The technical result is controlling media content playback with uncontrolled playback speeds. The methods and assemblies relate to determination, transmission and reception of information relating to the level required for decoding and playing back certain media content with an irregular playback speed. The method and assembly in a client node further relate to determination of, based on the received information, what playback speed(s) is(are) supported by the client node with respect to the level.

EFFECT: methods and assemblies enable the client node to avoid decoding and playing back said content with an irregular speed, which requires the level not supported by the client node.
