FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food compositions in the form of pieces in jelly that have an attractive appearance. One proposes a food composition in the form of pieces in jelly for domestic animal consumption; such composition contains jelly and one or several pieces; the pieces contain 15% - 20% of one or several kind crops and starch containing less than 5% of amylose; the composition contains 80% - 85% of one or several kinds meat or products obtained from animals. One proposes a method for preparation of a food composition in the form of pieces in jelly for domestic animals consumption which involves: a) preparation of pieces mixture containing 15% - 20% of one or several kinds crops and starch containing 5% of amylose and 80% - 85% of one or several kinds meat or products obtained from animals, b) usage of the pieces mixture for pieces preparation, c) jelly preparation and d) pieces mixing with jelly for manufacture of a food composition of pieces in jelly.
EFFECT: invention allows to manufacture food compositions in the form of pieces in jelly containing crops and/or starch and having no cloudy or unattractive appearance; the composition high quality appearance without cloudiness is achieved with usage of crops and starch containing no significant quantities of amylose.
