FIELD: fire safety.

SUBSTANCE: flame-extinguishing composition based on copper salts contains a compound selected from salts of copper in the amount from 30 wt% to 95 wt% and a fire-retarding component in the amount from 5 wt% to 70 wt%. Source of heat and energy used in this composition is a pyrotechnic compound, which burns after ignition creating a high temperature providing the decomposition reaction, which enables spraying, together with the pyrotechnical compound, a large number of obtained from the reaction flame-extinguishing substances for fire extinguishing.

EFFECT: flame-extinguishing composition based on copper salts can quickly and efficiently reduce the amount of heat released when burning the pyrotechnic compound; significantly reduce the temperature of outlet holes of the device for fire extinguishing and the sprayed substances and eliminate the need to use in the device for fire extinguishing complex cooling systems.
