SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for visual examination of dental tissue. Radiation having a lower peak wavelength illuminates the dental tissue and an image is captured. Then, the radiation having the higher peak wavelength illuminates the same dental tissue and a second image is captured. The images combine and create an output image based on one of the first image and the second image. The output image is modified in some areas of the modification function, which is a function of both the ratio of the second value for red to the first value for red, and the ratio of the first value for green to the second value for green.
EFFECT: system and method provide improved possibility of visual control of new decaying or carious tissue by forming images of the fluorescence of dental tissues under the influence of appropriate radiation.
