FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to ultrasonic devices for determination of effort. Device contains elongated case, one or more ultrasonic converters for generation of acoustic radiation, placed in area of case distal end, inside it, transmissive element, located along acoustic radiation beam, with transmissive element being in fact transparent for acoustic radiation. Transmissive element and one or several ultrasonic converters are installed in such way that length of acoustic path between transmissive element and ultrasonic converter varies together with contact effort, applied to distal end area. Medical system contains device and controller unit, connected with it. Controller unit determines length of acoustic path between ultrasonic converter and transmissive element and contact effort by determined length of acoustic path. Method of device operation consists in generation of acoustic radiation by bringing one or several converters into action, detection of reflected acoustic radiation, determination of length of acoustic path between transmissive element and ultrasonic converter by reflected acoustic radiation and determination of contact effort by determined length of acoustic path. Machine-readable carrier provides control of medical device.
EFFECT: application of invention makes it possible to increase accuracy of determination of contact effort.
