SUBSTANCE: energy converter is offered which directly converts the energy of multiphase alternating current into the alternating current energy. the energy converter is offered which directly converts the energy of multiphase alternating current into the alternating current energy. The converter circuit has a set of switching elements (311, 313, 315, 312, 314 and 316) which are connected to each phase R, S or T of energy of multiphase alternating current to provide switching for activation of bidirectional current-carrying ability. At least three capacitors (821-826) are provided between the converter circuit phases. Three capacitors, respectively, are located in corners of a triangle in the plane parallel with the assembly surface of the component on which the switching elements are actually mounted.

EFFECT: possibility of reduction of distance of assembly connections between the capacitors and the switching elements.
