FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an electrophotographic device, comprising: an electrophotographic photosensitive element, a charging unit, an exposure unit, a development unit and a transfer unit, as well as a process cartridge detachably connected to the main housing of the electrophotographic device, wherein the process cartridge integrally supports the electrophotographic photosensitive element and at least one unit selected from a group consisting of the charging unit, the development unit, the transfer unit and a cleaning unit, wherein the electrophotographic photosensitive element comprises a base, a photosensitive layer formed on the base, wherein the surface layer of the electrophotographic photosensitive element comprises: (α) at least one resin selected from a group consisting of a polycarbonate resin without a siloxane structure at the end, and a polyester resin without a siloxane structure at the end; (β) at least one resin selected from a group consisting of a polycarbonate resin having a siloxane structure at the end, a polyester resin having a siloxane structure at the end, and an acrylic resin having a siloxane structure at the end; and (γ) at least one compound selected from a group consisting of methyl benzoate, ethyl benzoate, benzyl acetate, ethyl-3-ethoxypropionate, and ethylmethyl ether of diethylene glycol.
EFFECT: providing an electrophotographic photosensitive element having a surface layer containing a resin having a siloxane structure at the end, which enables to reduce initial force and suppress change in the potential of the light region as a result of repeated use.
