SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an electrophotographic photosensitive element, a method of making an electrophotographic photosensitive element, process cartridge and an electrophotographic device, which include an electrophotographic photosensitive element. The disclosed electrophotographic photosensitive element comprises a base, an intermediate layer formed on the base and a photosensitive layer formed on the intermediate layer, wherein the intermediate layer is an electron transfer layer, and the intermediate layer contains a metal salt of an organic acid, having at least one metal element selected from a group consisting of Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Zn, wherein the electron transfer layer is a cured layer obtained by curing an electron transfer compound having a polymerisable functional group, or a composition containing an electron transfer layer, having a polymerisable functional group.

EFFECT: providing an electrophotographic photosensitive element which prevents initial appearance of positive secondary images, a method of making an electrophotographic photosensitive element, a process cartridge and an electrophotographic device, which include an electrophotographic photosensitive element.
