FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. The method of composting the organic part of food wastes comprises a liquid phase and a solid phase fermentation using microorganism culture, at that the microorganism culture is used as activated sludge which was previously grown on the liquid phase of the said food waste, at that the food wastes are preliminary crushed to the fraction of 1÷3 mm, a part of the crushed food wastes is centrifuged, and the resulting liquid phase is fed for fermentation for growing the activated sludge, the liquid-phase fermentation is carried out for 7÷10 days, the temperature in the first 5 days is provided from 28°C to 32°C, and the temperature in the subsequent days - from 42°C to 44°C, then the solid phase obtained by centrifuging the crushed food wastes is mixed with the remaining crushed food wastes to form the composted mixture, after which the activated sludge obtained during the liquid phase fermentation is added to the composted mixture in an amount of not less than 3% by weight of the composted mixture.
EFFECT: invention enables to simplify the process of composting the organic part of food wastes, and also to increase the efficiency of the process.
