FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a method and related equipment for producing standard-quality synthesis gas for producing ammonia with cryogenic purification. A method involves raw hydrocarbons conversion followed by the stages of CO conversion, CO2 removal and methanation to produce a raw standard-quality synthesis gas flow containing hydrogen and nitrogen; the raw synthesis gas is treated in a section of cryogenic purification to produce the purified synthesis gas flow; a nitrogen-rich liquid flow is supplied at a cryogenic temperature into the section of cryogenic purification; indirect heat exchange is provided between the synthesis gas and nitrogen-rich liquid flow in the cryogenic section; the nitrogen-rich flow is evaporated partially to cool down the cryogenic section; the air flow is treated in an air separator to produce the nitrogen-rich liquid flow and oxygen-rich flow.
EFFECT: invention provides the cost-effective method for producing synthesis gas for producing ammonia.
