SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical means for performing cuts in the cornea of the human eye with the application of laser radiation. The device contains a laser unit for performing one part of the cut by a focused pulse laser radiation and containing adjustable components, providing the local positioning of a radiation bean focus, and a control computer. The method of the surgical processing of the human eye with the application of the device provides the performance of a slot-like cut in the human eye cornea and consists in the formation of the focused beam of the pulse laser radiation, focusing the laser radiation on the cornea, control of the focus of the laser radiation beam in order to perform the cut, starting from the posterior cornea surface, with one part of the cut having a contour of the section in the plane x-z, passing through the centre of the pupil, which deviates from the straight line, perpendicular to the eye surface, with z direction corresponding to the direction of the radiation beam, and the contour of the section in the plane x-y being made rectilinear and being up to several millimetres long.
EFFECT: invention provides an improvement of the cornea self-closing.
