FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: surgical management of T1aN0M0 renal cell tumour involves a lumbotomy approach to a kidney. A skin incision is no more than 10 cm long and extends to the Xth intercostal space. External and internal oblique and transverse muscles are separated along muscular fibres leaving vessels and nerves untransected. An end of the XIth rib is taken as a separation line centre in a fontal projection over renal vessels. A renal pedicle is approached.
EFFECT: method enables providing the higher effectiveness and reducing the length of open partial nephrotomy; it ensures approaching the renal vessels with no risk of myofacial defects and rough surgical scars.
