CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61M27/00

Abstract RU 2559747 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment and is applicable in the negative pressure wound therapy. A connector assembly applicable in the negative pressure wound therapy comprises a conductor, wherein vacuum can be generated, and a carrier. The connector assembly is configured to mount on a vacuum dressing covering the wound and hermetically ambient isolated. The conductor is connected with the wound chamber through at least one aperture in a conductor wall facing the vacuum dressing, and through at least one aperture in the wound dressing. The conductor is flexible and flat and comprises a number of passages hermetically isolated from each other and configured as a single element. The conductor and carrier are integrated together by the fact that the carrier extending from a middle long section forming the long passage merges on each of the two sides into a side wall; the flat conductor with the long section and side walls can be mounted flatly onto the vacuum dressing.

EFFECT: invention enables configuring the connector assembly, which is perceived by the patients as comfortable or hurting insignificantly when loaded or being in contact, as well as providing the effective seating of the components with moderate technical expenses.
