FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to connecting device (2) for use in treating negative pressure wounds, a method of making a connector and a system for treating wounds with negative pressure. Device (2) comprises flexible conducting device (6), which is made with possibility of negative pressure and liquid medium and having two cavities, and connecting housing (4) connected with conductive means (6) without possibility of separation. One cavity is provided as suction cavity (40) for negative pressure action and one cavity is provided as cavity (42) for feeding a liquid medium. Connecting body (4) is made of resilient flexible material and can be applied on vacuum dressing applied on wound and hermetically closing it from environment. Conducting device (6) during operation of connecting device is connected with wound space by means of connecting housing (4) and by means of hole in vacuum bandage. Connecting housing (4) comprises an elevated first region (8) located at the center, receiving conductive means (6), and opposite to it flat, made in the form of bordering second region (10), passing in direction (7) along perimeter relative to first area (8), which forms contact surface (12) and by means of which connecting housing (4) can be evenly located on upper side, opposite to wound, of vacuum dressing directly or with the presence of binding substances between them and can be hermetically attached to it. Conducting part (46), which is closed on all sides and is formed by central first area, is connected to free end of cavity (42) of supply of conductive means (6), which is open in central first area. Conducting part comes first at far end into inner space (16) of central first area (8) and from there enters fluid communication with cavity (40) of suction conductive means (6). Conducting part (46), which is closed on all sides and is formed by central first area, is connected to free end of cavity (42) of supply of conductive means (6), which is output to central first area. Conducting part comes first at far end into inner space (16) of central first area (8) and from there enters fluid communication with cavity (40) of suction conductive means (6). Central first area (8) comprises one separate hole (20), which is continuous and extending towards vacuum dressing in contact surface (12), which connects inner space (16) of central first area (8) with hole in vacuum bandage, so through this continuous hole (20) one cavity (40) of suction is interconnected with wound space, and at that, into this continuous hole (20) are ledges (22) made as a whole with first region (8) and passing into contact surface (12) by free ends, and they form a means to prevent penetration of lining materials into the dressing or wound suctioned from the wound space. In the method, connecting housing (4) is made and provided as a whole with the central first area (8) and second area (10) in the form of a fringe. Reinforcing film (52) containing central gap (60) is provided on the side of second area (10), which is in the form of a fringe, which is wound from the wound. Reinforcing film (52) with its central gap (60) is applied over central first region (8), and then reinforcing film (52) with adhesive is glued for target use to side of side (14) of second area (10) facing from the wound in the form of a border without separation possibility and providing projection outside peripheral edge (54) of second region (10) in form of fringe. Thereafter, conductive device (6) is inserted into opening (44) passing parallel to contact surface (12) of first central area (8) and tightly fixed therein. System comprises a negative pressure generating device comprising a mechanism with a vacuum connecting element and a connecting element for infusion. System comprises connecting device (4) in which cavity (40) of suction of conductive means (6) is in fluid communication with vacuum connecting element, and cavity (42) for supply of conductive means (6) is in fluid communication with connection element for infusion.
EFFECT: improved connection device so that communication under low pressure is reliable even under difficult conditions, wherein risk of clogging of inlet holes or inner space of connecting device does not increase, but rather decreases.
