FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to metallurgy and namely to heat treatment of structural steels. The method involves tempering of structural steel for martensite with further action on it of a pulsing subsonic air flow with certain frequency and sound pressure at room temperature.
EFFECT: reduction of duration of a strengthening heat treatment process of structural steels at maintaining high values of hardness and strength and providing sufficient reliability.
