FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber industry, in particular to production of lumber. To obtain lumber from round timber affected by radionuclides, the timber is fixed with the healthy peripheral zone, the shape and parameters of the affected layer are determined, the timber is divided for parts in the longitudinal direction parallel to the central axis. Initially end-cutting of the timber is carried out for shock bolts of the given length. The shock bolts are divided into sectors, as well the affected parts are separated from the sectors by riving. Then the unaffected part of the sector is crushed or dried and the surfaces of the unaffected parts are machined by milling, and the resulting preforms are fastened then together by gluing.

EFFECT: increased yield of lumber, decreased energy consumption of the production process of lumber.
