METHOD FOR CUTTING OF ROUND WOOD AFFECTED BY RADIONUCLIDES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC B27B1/00 

FIELD: technological processes; construction.

SUBSTANCE: method includes fixation of timber by healthy peripheral zone, definition of shape and parameters of affected layer, division of timber into parts in longitudinal direction parallel to their longitudinal axis. Initially in the places of slits making by cutting tools, affected layer with width that exceeds slit width is removed. Timber is cut into saw timber without transfer of radionuclides in the plane of division. Produced saw timber are based by one of processing surfaces. Side parts with radionuclides are removed parallel to generatrices, then after drying and sorting prepared stocks are turned relative to each other by 180° in horizontal plane, matched along longitudinal edge and fixed to each other. Sawdust produced in process of affected layer removal is stocked in one place, and sawdust of the healthy zone - in the other one.

EFFECT: higher yield of saw timber.
