FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: claimed device comprises support with tool, frame with moving and fixed supports provided with screws, lengthwise feed mechanism for displacement of said means along sheet surface and mechanism of transverse feed of support with tool across sheet surface. Mechanism for vertical feed of support with tool to displace said means from sheet one edge to another one or in diagonal in moving supports and screws allow lifting of said means above sheet surface with application of force for sheet displacement for positioning of the tool relative to the point whereat surface is milled. Screws at fixed supports lift said means from sheet surface and displace said support with tool to machining zone with the help of extra screws in preset direction. To clamp said means on sheet surface it is provided with electromagnets or permanent magnets arranged over its edges. For control over tool departure from preset path, said means is provided with extra transducers of lengthwise, crosswise and vertical displacement of support with tool and ACS to output the data on sensory screen. Besides, invention covers the positioning of artificial defect applicator.
EFFECT: higher precision of wide and long slits and different-diameter bores, higher quality of ultrasound control.
