FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biopsy-based diagnostic technique in the patients suffering prostate cancer and can be used to diagnose regional lymph node involvement by radionuclide imaging and biopsy of sentinel lymph nodes. A prostate cancer nidus is localised by magnetic resonant tomography and three-dimensional transrecal ultrasonic scanning of the prostate with the formed images to be fused. The nidus coordinates are localised. Then, a navigation complex applicable for interstitial brachytherapy of the prostate is used to introduce Technephyt 99mTc, a labelled colloidal preparation, under ultrasonic control. SPECT-imaging combined with X-ray computed tomography is performed 4 hours after the introduction to describe a topography of the sentinel lymph nodes, which is taken into account when making a biopsy.

EFFECT: method provides accurate, simple and safe detection of the topography and optimum biopsy technique for the sentinel lymph nodes in the patients suffering prostate cancer with determining the extent of the planned operation.
