FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing carboxylic acid amides includes reacting a carboxylic acid with an amine in the presence of a catalyst in a solvent medium with azeotropic distillation of water. As the carboxylic acid butyric acid, valeric acid or isovaleric acid are used , and as the amine cyclohexylamine, piperidine or morpholine are used. As the catalyst copper nanoparticles are used, and the process occurs in a benzene medium with molar ratio of the carboxylic acid:amine:catalyst equal to 1:1.1-1.2:0.02-0.05. , where R1=i-Bu, R2R3=(CH2)5; R1=Bu, R2R3=(CH2)2O(CH2)2; R1=Pr, R2=H, R3=cyclo-C6H11; R1=Pr, R2R3=(CH2)5.
EFFECT: obtaining carboxylic acid amides in mild conditions with high output.
