FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing aromatic amides of 1-adamantane carboxylic acid, which comprises reacting a carboxylic acid with an aromatic primary amine in an atmosphere of absolute acetonitrile in the presence of a base and a phosphorus chloride complex with 4-dimethylaminopyridine, carboxylic acid used is 1-adamantane carboxylic acid, the complex is obtained in situ from phosphorus trichloride with 4-dimethylaminopyridine, taken in molar ratio of 1:1, base used is triethylamine, and reaction is carried out in molar ratio acid:amine:base:complex equal to 1:1:1:1.
EFFECT: novel method of producing aromatic amides of 1-adamantane carboxylic acids with high output of the product.
