FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to injection moulding machine. Injection of fused thermoplastic material of invariable thickness is conducted into the machine mould cavity at low constant pressure of approx 6000 psi and lower. Melt feed system without natural balance comprises hot-channel gating system with melt feed channel and multiple cavities. The system incorporates controller to maintain constant pressure of fused plastic bulk. Melt feed system ensures the balance of 90% or higher. This allows said low-pressure injection-moulding machine to comprise the mould made of easy-to-machine material, hence, to reduce mould production costs as compared with standard moulds.
EFFECT: reliable operation of the mould owing to improved design of hot gating systems.
