SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology and deals with a recombinant strain of the vaccinia virus. The characterised strain is constructed on the basis of L-IVP strain of the vaccinia virus and contains an insert of a gene of the human granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), the structure of which corresponds to cDNA of the matrix RNA of human GM-CSF, represented in the GenBank under number Ml 1220.1. The gene of human GM-CSF is expressed under the control of the natural promoter p7.5K of the vaccinia virus and produces a secreted form of the biologically active human GM-CSF in mammalian cells at the level of 40 mg per ml of a culture medium. The strain VV-GMCSF-S1/3 is deposited in the State collection of Rospotrebnadzor (Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare) of pathogens of viral infections, ricketsioses of FBSI SRC VB (Federal Budgetary Scientific Institution the State Research Centre of Virology and Biotechnology) "Vector" under number V-631 and can be used for the elaboration of medications for fighting oncologic and infectious diseases.
