FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing N-cyclopentyl-substituted 1,5,3-dithiazepanes of general formula:
where characterised by that an N-cyclopentyl-substituted amine (cyclopentyl-amine, pyrrolidine-3-amine, 2-amino-norbornane) reacts with 1-oxa-3,6-dithiacycloheptane in the presence of a SmCl3·6H2O catalyst with molar ratio N-cyclopentyl-substituted amine:1-oxa-3,6-dithiacycloheptane:SmCl3·6H2O = 1:1:(0.03-0.07) at room temperature (~20°C) in an ethanol-chloroform solvent medium (1:1, volume ratio) for 2.5-3.5 hours.
EFFECT: compounds can be used as antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory agents, as well selective complexing agents.
