SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of biochemistry. Claimed is method for fermentation of gaseous substrate. Method includes supply of gaseous substrate, containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen, in water medium into reactor. Water medium includes anaerobic acetogenic microorganisms. Mixing water medium, measurement of CO conversion, measurement of H2 conversion and increase of gaseous substrate flow are realised. After increase of flow CO conversion exceeds first CO conversion by value in interval from 25% to 95%, H2 conversion exceeds first H2 conversion by value in interval from 25% to 95%, with difference between CO conversion and H2 conversion being in interval from 0 to 25%.
EFFECT: invention provides increased density of cells in microbiological fermentation of gaseous substrate.
