SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mobile communication. The method comprises measuring (100) signal conditions for the serving cell and neighbouring cells; after triggering (102) the handover event from measured signal conditions, sending a handover measurement report and storing (106) information, at least for one of the neighbouring cells, which enables UE to connect to said cell; and if the handover procedure fails (108), retrieving (110) stored information for one of the neighbouring cells and re-establishing (112) a connection with the cellular telecommunication network using the acquired information.
EFFECT: recovery after radio link failure for user equipment (UE).
