SUBSTANCE: method of applying absorbable antibacterial coating includes two-stage application of coating on surgical thread from solution in organic solvent with drying at the end of each stage, characterised by the fact that at first stage coating from absorbable polymer is applied on thread, and at second stage coating from solution, which contains triclosan, absorbable polymer and calcium or sodium stearate, is applied.
EFFECT: realisation of invention makes it possible to obtain absorbable and non-absorbable surgical suture materials with high antibacterial effect with low triclosan concentration, with reduced rigidity, capillarity, sawing effect and tissue response, as well as easily support concentration of working solutions and control content of triclosan in coated threads.
