SUBSTANCE: stacking the articles (2) comprises the steps that follow. Articles to be stacked are carried by conveyor (1) in direction (D) to stacking device (5) including trolley (14) to reciprocate in second direction (S) and stopped at appropriate point. One or several articles are carried from first set trolley onto first conveyor belt (10). Trolley is driven in second direction (S). One or several articles are carried from second set trolley onto second conveyor belt (11). Said conveyor belts (10, 11) are driven at different speeds (v1, v2) to make two sets of articles level in conveyor zone (4).
EFFECT: ease of adapting to quantity, shape and sizes of the articles.
