BEHAVIOUR THERAPY METHOD AND SYSTEM APPLICABLE FOR INSOMNIA MANAGEMENT Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2568354 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: inventions refer to medicine. A method for cognitive behaviour therapy of insomnia is implemented by a cognitive behaviour therapy system. The cognitive behaviour therapy system comprises an electronic communication device, a sensor system for detecting sleep activity data, a first processing unit for sleep activity data transformation into sleep structure data, a second processing unit with an entry unit for patient's input data collection, including those specifying the assessment of the patient's insomnia impact on patient's daily activity, a third processing unit for sleep structure and patient's input data reception, analysis and patient's sleep profiling, a fourth processing unit for patient's sleep profile analysis and therapeutic assistance, and a display. A memory device of the fourth processing unit comprises a set of therapeutic instruction units to be presented on the display. The fourth processing unit is configured to arrange the therapeutic instruction units on the basis of the above patient's sleep profile and to present the arranged therapeutic instruction units on the display. The patient's sleep is controlled by means of the sensor system; the patient's input data are collected by means of the entry unit; the patient's input data and the sleep activity data are combined to create the patient's sleep profile; the above profile is analysed to specify a therapeutic course to be presented to the patient on the display thereafter.

EFFECT: using the inventions is supposed to provide the more accurate assessment of the patient's state and to facilitate the cognitive behaviour therapy for the patient.
