FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely to neurology, and may be used to treat Alzheimer's disease or a cognitive disorder in a patient. That is ensured by administering 5-HT4 receptor agonist, which represents 1-isopropyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinoline-3-carboxylic acid {[1S,3R,5R)-8-[(R)-2-hydroxy-3-(methanesulphonylmethylamino)propyl]-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-yl}amine or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt, and donepezil hydrochloride, wherein 5-HT4 receptor agonist and donepezil hydrochloride are administered in a dose, which is not effective enough to treat Alzheimer's disease or a cognitive disorder if the above agents are administered separately. A method enables intensifying the effect of acetyl cholinesterase inhibitor when introducing 5-HT4 receptor agonist in doses, which is not effective enough if the agents are administered separately.
EFFECT: higher clinical effectiveness.
