SUBSTANCE: invention relates to application of coatings and can be used for application of liquid coatings on ceramic or metallic cellular elements/filters. System for complete of particle coating application has fluid carrier (121) arranged on coating applicator (122). Fluid feed section of applicator (122) is communicated with lifting pipe (127) via valve (125) to maintain the pressure equal to that in said lifting pipe (127). This allows increasing the fluid level in pipe (127) to that in fluid carrier. Lifting pipe (127) allows the control over the level of fluid (124) carrier (121) filling. In compliance with proposed process, valve (125) is adjusted to develop identical pressure conditions and fluid level in both lifting pipe (127) and fluid carrier. Fluid coating (124) is applied on carrier (121). Said carrier is arranged to position whereat its lengthwise axis is directed vertically. Fluid (124) for coating application is fed through at least one of carrier end surfaces (131, 132) into its channels (133). Fluid level in lifting pipe (127) is used to control the level of carrier filling with application medium. Carrier filled as required, application medium level increase is terminated. Hence, it is possible to make the exhaust gas system to be used for production of carriers with coating intended for decreasing of used has toxicity.
EFFECT: simplified coating application system owing to proper control over application medium level in carrier.
