DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR VERTEBROSUBCLAVIAN STEAL SYNDROME Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61B8/00

Abstract RU 2570043 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: total stenosis of cerebral main arteries is detected with using parameters of lobar stenosis of the major artery of the head - internal carotid, vertebral arteries, basilar artery, subclavian artery and brachiocephalic trunk. If observing incipient steal syndrome of subclavian artery (ScA/SS.1), subclavian artery stenosis in the first segment (XScA), % is set equal to stenosis of ipsilateral vertebral artery (VAipsi). A lobar stenosis of subclavian artery (ΔXScA/SS.1), % is calculated by formula. In transient steal syndrome (ScA/SS.2), stenosis of subclavian artery is set equal to occlusion of ipsilateral artery VAipsi. In permanent steal syndrome (ScA/SS.3), stenosis of ScA is set equal to occlusion of one vertebral artery (VAipsi) and stenosis of the other vertebral artery VAref.

EFFECT: group of inventions enables predicting cerebro-vascular insufficiency and choosing therapeutic approaches to these patients.
