FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: on any three consecutive postoperative days, a SOFA score is determined in a patient suffering the first stage of multiple organ failure accompanying diffuse peritonitis. If a total score is 7 or more on the first day, 8 or more on the second day, and 10 or more on the third day, deficient energy metabolism is stated and a lethal outcome is predicted.
EFFECT: method enables improving a discriminator ability and sensitivity of the SOFA scale for the purpose of predicting the lethal outcome in each specific patient suffering diffuse peritonitis.
