SUBSTANCE: method involves estimating a SOFA score progressing in diffuse peritonitis in the period of any three neighbouring postoperative days. The multiple organ failure is predicted if observing the first stage of organ dysfunction accompanied by 4 points or more of the SOFA scale on the 1st day, 5 points or more - on the 2nd day, 7 points or more - on the 3rd day of the period of interest.

EFFECT: method ensures facilitating the prediction of the multiple organ failure in the patients with diffuse peritonitis by specifying the actual limit of the SOFA score.
