SUBSTANCE: claimed production of surface plies with the gradient polyphase structure is performed by pulse intermittent effects applied to 20X13 steel part surface by high-current electronic beam with electron energy of 10-30 keV in argon medium at residual pressure of 0.02-0.03 Pa, absorbed power density of 10-30 J/cm, pulse length of 50-100 mcs and the number of pulses of 1-3.
EFFECT: longer surface life of machines and mechanism operated under high-cycle fatigue.
