SUBSTANCE: invention involves a fluid sampling device and a method for sampling and analysing a mammalian oral fluid sample, refers to medical equipment and is applicable for home analysis. The device comprises a mouthpiece and a fluid sampling unit. The mouthpiece comprises a chamber formed by front and back inner walls and an inner wall of a mouthpiece base extending between the front and back inner walls. The mouthpiece is designed for delivering the fluid onto a number of oral surfaces. The front and back inner walls of the chamber comprise a number of openings. The mouthpiece also comprises first and second distributors to hold a first portion of fluid, first and second ports and a unit for provide effective oral sealing of the mouthpiece. The first distributor is designed for holding the first portion of fluid and delivering the first portion of fluid into the chamber through the holes in the front inner wall. The second distributor is designed for holding the second portion of fluid and delivering the second portion of fluid into the chamber through the above holes in the back inner wall. Through the first port, the first portion of fluid flows into the first distributor and goes out of it. Through the second port, the second portion of fluid flows into the second distributor and goes out of it.

EFFECT: invention enables clearing and removing food particles trapped deep in the gums or interdental spaces, removing tooth deposit or biofilm, as well as ensuring diagnosing the oral health.
