FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: method for generation of multicomponent gas medium comprising several volatile substances includes delivery of at least one volatile substance to a pressure vessel with sorbent placed in it. Then the vessel is withheld till equilibrium is reached between adsorbed volatile substance and its gaseous phase. At that silica gel is used as sorbent. Then each volatile substance is delivered to the vessel separately, in liquid state and in individual container separated spatially from sorbent and other substances. Further the vessel is withheld until all substances are evaporated, and their quantity is defined by the formula depending on free volume in the vessel, required concentration of volatile substance in gaseous space of the vessel and weight of silica gel: qi=(W+εiRTMs/g)·ci, where qi is quantity of the ith volatile substance in liquid state, mole; W is free volume of the vessel, m3; εi is parameter of the ith volatile substance sorption by silica gel, mole/(kg·Pa); R is universal gas constant, Pa·m3/(mole·K); T is temperature, K; Ms/g is weight of silica gel, kg; ci is required concentration of the ith volatile substance in gaseous space of the vessel, mole/m3.
EFFECT: potential generation of multicomponent gas medium with preset concentration of each component in order to establish facts of influence of gas medium components on different objects at their storage or operation.
