FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: along full length of the final roll the slab of textured electric steel is made containing in wt %: C 0.001-0.10, Si 1.0-5.0, Mn 0.01-0.5, Al sol. 0.003- 0.050, N 0.0010- 0.020, one or two elements from S and Se: 0.005-0.040 in total, then steel slab is subjected to hot rolling, cold rolling, annealing for initial recrystallisation, and final annealing. Heating rate S1 between T1 (°C) = 500+2 × (NB-NA) and T2 (°C) = 600+2 × (NB-NA) during heating for annealing for initial recrystallisation is set equal to at least 80°C/s, and from T2 to 750°C average heating rate S2 is from 0.1 to 0.7 S1. In equations NA represents quantity N (ppm by weight) extracted after final cold rolling, and NB represents N (ppm by weight) extracted after annealing of first recrystallisation.
EFFECT: reduced magnetic losses in iron.
